LiveSafe Mobile App

LiveSafe (livesafemobile.com) is a free mobile app available on iPhone and Android. The app provides an on-the-go way to connect with campus police at any time. LiveSafe improves safety communication between students, faculty, staff and the WVU community.

The University community is encouraged to download the app and use it to report crimes, safety hazards or suspicious activity. This service, however, will not replace the current WVU Alert text message system, which is the best way for the University to report emergencies to the community. The app will work in collaboration with other current WVU services in an ongoing effort to maintain and provide a safe academic environment.

What can you report?

Access the app to reports instances such as:

  • Suspicious, threatening, or dangerous activity/behavior

  • Safety/security hazards or repairs needed

  • Possible crimes

  • Sexual assault

  • Workplace bullying

How do I download the LiveSafe app?

  1. Open the iTunes or Google Play store and search for LiveSafe to download the mobile app.

2. From the list of schools, select West Virginia University.
