Creating and Sharing Zoom Recordings

WVU Zoom Account recording settings are not set to automatically record your meetings. You can choose to automatically record all your meetings or record individual meetings. Recordings can be saved to your computer or in the cloud. If you choose to record your meetings in the cloud, your recordings can be accessed and shared through your Zoom account or eCampus course. Recordings are deleted automatically after 120 days. More details can be found in the Zoom Retention Policy article

View Zoom's Cloud Recording Help page for more information.

How to record Zoom meetings

  1. Go to wvu.zoom.us and sign in using your WVU Login credentials.

  2. Schedule a new meeting or edit an existing meeting you want to record.

  3. Click Automatically record meeting under Meeting Options and choose to Record in the cloud or Record on the local computer.

  4. Click Save and your meeting will automatically record to the cloud. As the meeting Host, you can stop and start the record during your meeting if you choose.

Access and share Zoom cloud recordings

  1. Once your meeting is recorded to the cloud, log into your Zoom account at wvu.zoom.us.

  2. Select the Recordings tab. There you will see all of your meeting recordings. From here you can search, share, download and delete your recordings.

  3. Select Share. By default, Zoom will set sharing to WVU Users Only, which requires users to enter their WVU Login credentials to view the recording.

    • Select the Publicly option if you want anyone with the link to view the recording.

    • Click Viewers can download to turn off the download option

Access Zoom cloud recordings in eCampus

  3. Click the play button in the middle of the video recording and you will get a notice that the password has been copied to the clipboard.

  4. Click Sign in with SSO.

  5. Type WVU in the Company Domain box and click Continue
