Turn Off Apple Video Reactions on FaceTime and Zoom

Video Reactions are enabled by default on Apple devices, which can be distracting or unwanted for some users. Reactions are augmented reality video effects activated by user hand gestures while on video calls.
The feature is associated with FaceTime, but may be activated and used in other video-based apps, such as Zoom.
Applicable Operating Systems
Apple has Video Reactions set on as default in the following operating systems:
macOS Sonoma or later on a Mac with Apple silicon
macOS Sonoma or later on a Mac using Continuity Camera with iPhone 12 or later
iPhone running iOS 17
