Accessing Zoom Contact Center
Zoom Contact Center (ZCC) is used by service desks and help centers across WVU. To begin using the Contact Center in your Zoom Workplace application you must have ZCC access for your WVU Zoom account (granted by ITS Telecommunications), and you must complete Zoom Contact Center Security Training.
Getting Into Zoom Contact Center
You will need to download and install Zoom Workplace (wvu.zoom.us – bottom of login page) to use the Contact Center. You cannot place or receive calls from the Zoom web portal. After installing Zoom Workplace on your computer, start the application and click the SSO button on the login screen to log into the Zoom desktop application.
Your department will also submit a request to have ITS Telecommunications enable Contact Center for your WVU Zoom account. After ZCC is activated for your account, you’ll see the Contact Center tab at the top of the Zoom Workplace application window.
Zoom Contact Center Security Training
The Zoom Contact Center Security Training course is required for all employees who utilize Zoom Contact Center to communicate with customers. The course is organized into modules that address protecting personally identifiable information, identification and prevention of identity theft under the Red Flags Rule, and specific compliance requirements related to use of Zoom Contact Centers at West Virginia University. Completion of training is required before an employee can use Zoom Contact Center and annual completion of training is required to continue having access to Zoom Contact Center.
You will receive an email notification with a link asking you to complete the ZCC Security Training.
