Troubleshoot WVU-owned iPad Connection Issues

View the Connect Mobile Devices to WVU's Wi-Fi article for steps to connect your iPad to the WVU.Encrypted network.

If you are unable to connect to the network, you may need a new wireless certificate. Use the steps below to confirm you have the new certificate on your iPad.

How to get the new certificate

To resolve the issue, your iPad must be connected to a wireless network (preferably a secured network). Once your device is online, your device should receive the new wireless certificate.

To confirm you have the new certificate, open Settings then tap General > Device Management > MDM Profile > More Details. If you see a certificate named iseadminpri.wvu.edu that expires on August 19, 2022, then you have the new certificate.

If your iPad is connected to a wireless network for more than 5 minutes and you still don't see the new certificate, contact your deskside support.
