Forward All Calls to Another Number

If you will be out of your office for an extended period of time, you can setup your phone to forward all incoming calls on your primary line to your cell phone or another number. Your primary line is the first line that appears on the phone set.

Note: Call forwarding must be set up while you are physically at the phone itself. Be sure to do this before you leave the office for an extended period of time. 

How do I setup my phone to forward all calls to another number?

1. Press the CFwdAll or Forward All soft key (model dependent). You will hear two beeps. 

2. Enter the number to which you want to forward all your calls. Enter the number exactly as you would if you were placing a call to that number. An animated phone icon will flash in the upper-right corner of your LCD screen. 

3. To cancel call forwarding, press the CFwdAll or Forward All soft key.

How do I forward calls that are for a secondary line on my phone set?

If you have a Cisco model 7960, 7961, or 7962, there is not a way for you to set this yourself. You will need to contact the ITS Service Desk and request the forwarding be setup or removed.

If you have a newer telephone model, such as a Cisco 8851:

1. Select the line you would like to forward by pressing its corresponding button on the left side of the screen.

2. Press the Forward All softkey (at the bottom of the screen). You will hear two beeps.

3. Enter the number to which you want to forward calls. Enter it exactly as you would if you were placing a call to that number. When you do this correctly, you will hear a single beep, and a message will pop up indicating that calls are forwarded. A different icon will display next to the line description on your phone’s screen.

4. To cancel the call forwarding, select the line again and press the Forward Off softkey.
