Telephone and Jabber Accessory Recommendations

ITS does not provide or recommend a specific list of approved devices for use with telephones or telephone services on campus, but we do attempt to support devices that are compatible with our system. This list provides some products that we have found to work well in our environment.
For departments that want other options, the Logitech, Jabra, Sennheiser and Plantronics companies provide many headset and accessory options and can evaluate whether they are compatible with your device.
Jabra is a headset manufacturer and is a distinct entity from Cisco Jabber software. Jabra is not a Cisco-owned company.
Cisco IP phones with headset jacks
Plantronics SupraPlus HW251N with U10 Modular Plug Adapter
This product offers excellent audio quality in a mono speaker format, noise-canceling microphone and a quick disconnect. Customers must also order the U10 adapter.
Savi 700 Series
This product offers flexible ergonomics and wireless connectivity. Both over-the-head and over-the-ear styles are available. Customers must also order the APC42 adapter.
Cisco Jabber for Windows/Mac
Jabra BIZ 2300 USB or Jabra BIZ 2400 USB
These product lines offer both mono and duo (one or two earpiece) versions, good audio quality and built-in volume and mute buttons. These are connected to a PC or Mac via USB connection.
Jabra Pro 9400
This product offers a wireless solution, mono earpiece with either over-the-head or over the ear interchangeable styles. This also connects to the PC or Mac via USB.
Plantronics Clarity P340 Handset
This product offers more traditional handset ergonomics. It also connects to the PC or Mac via USB.
Additional accessories (webcams, conference speakers)
Jabra Speak 510
This product is a Bluetooth speaker phone that can pair with a mobile smartphone, laptop or Bluetooth enabled IP Phone (models 8945, 8851, 8865). It can also be connected to a laptop via USB. The unit has an internal battery (charges via USB). This is a good solution for travel or for small conference tables located in the same room as a Bluetooth enabled IP Phone.
Logitech Webcam C920-C
This webcam is specifically designed for Cisco Jabber. It has built-in microphones, a wide-view camera and a privacy shutter, and it supports HD video up to 1080p. It connects via USB and mounts easily to a computer monitor.
