Outlook Web App (OWA) Account Disabled Error Message
If you attempt to log into the Outlook Web App (OWA) too many times in a short period, you will need to wait 20 minutes until you can try to log in again. You may see the message "Your account has been disabled" after a number of invalid access attempts. This measure is taken to protect your account.
WVU technicians do not have the ability to lift this suspension. The suspension will be automatically lifted after approximately 20 minutes. Wait 20 minutes and then try to access your Outlook Web App (OWA) account again.
Before attempting to log in to OWA again, verify that your Login account is active.
Go to login.wvu.edu.
Click Check Account Status.
Enter your Login username and password.
Click Login.
If you can log in successfully here, but cannot log into OWA, submit an ITS request.
If you cannot log in here, try unlocking your Login account. Once it has been more than 20 minutes since you first attempted to log into OWA, try to log in with your new password. If this does not resolve the problem, submit an ITS request.
