Do I need an installed email client to use Outlook?
Many users will find Outlook Web App to be robust enough for their needs on and off campus. It is accessible by browser and doesn't require additional software installation.
An alternative to the Outlook Web App is having an Outlook client installed on a computer. If you are wishing to install Outlook clients on a computer, it can be installed for free through the Microsoft 365 portal.
What are Microsoft Web Apps and what types of files can be used with them?
Microsoft Web Apps are lightweight versions of applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneNote that allow for viewing, editing and collaborating online without downloading an the app.
