Change Recovery Contact Information
Adding a secondary email to your WVU Login account lets you reset your password or unlock your account without having to call the ITS Service Desk. You will verify your identity using a code sent to your personal email in case you can’t access your WVU email because your account is locked or password expires. WVU will not use your contact information for any other purpose.
Log into okta.wvu.edu (login.wvu.edu).
Click your name in the upper-right corner to open a drop-down menu.
Click My Settings.
Click Manage personal information.
Click Edit details.
Enter a Secondary email.
Click Save.
You will receive an email to confirm your secondary email address. Click the Confirm Email Change link. You will be prompted to log into Okta to verify the change.
The secondary email can’t be used for account recovery until it’s confirmed, and you will be prompted to provide a secondary email until you have a confirmed email address.
