Duo two-factor authentication will be retired October 1, 2025, and replaced with a new multi-factor authentication tool, Okta Verify.
Duo Digipass display tokens will not work with Okta Verify. If you need to purchase a token now or after the transition to Okta Verify, you will need a FIDO2 (WebAuthn) compliant token. ITS recommends purchasing one of the following:
Security Key by Yubico USB-A and USB-C (available online)
Titan Security Key (available online)
GoTrust Idem Key (available at WVU Barnes & Noble Bookstores starting in late summer 2025)
All three options will work with Duo and with Okta Verify; you will just need to re-register the device with your account after October 1, 2025.
