Microsoft 365 Error Prevents Editing on Mac
If you receive a Microsoft 365 error saying your account doesn’t allow editing on a Mac computer, remove all Office licenses then reinstall WVU’s license.
Follow the steps in Microsoft’s How to Remove Office License Files on a Mac.
After removing the license files, you will be prompted to sign into your Office account the next time you open an Office app. Enter your WVU Login username followed by @mail.wvu.edu or @hsc.wvu.edu when asked for an email address and use your WVU Login password for the password.
Although WVU student email addresses end in @mix.wvu.edu, students should use @mail.wvu.edu for signing into Office. This is a special username for activating your license and not an email address that can be used elsewhere.
