How to Search for Proposals in WVU+kc
A Development Proposal is created in the WVU+kc Proposal Development module when you click the Create Proposal link and begin to enter data for a new proposal. It will remain in this state (as a development proposal) until the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) submits it to the external sponsor.
An Institutional Proposal is created when the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) submits the completed proposal to the external sponsor; it will contain details about the date of submission and status of the submission. You can find institutional proposals in the WVU+kc system dating back to July 1, 2013.
You can search for either type of proposal document by choosing a search option from the Proposals menu in WVU+kc.
Search for a Development Proposal:
On the WVU+kc dashboard, click the Proposals menu item at the top of the screen.
In the drop-down menu items, click on All My Proposals. The Proposal Development Lookup page will display.
Your username will automatically be populated in the Proposal Person field, and any matching proposal documents will be listed below the search area. You may choose a different person (PI, Co-I, or proposal creator) by clicking the search icon and choosing another WVU+kc user.
Search for an Institutional Proposal:
On the WVU+kc dashboard, click the Proposals menu item at the top of the screen.
In the drop-down menu items, click on Search Proposals Submitted to Sponsor. The Institutional Proposal Lookup page will display.
Click the search icon next to the Principal Investigator field to open the Person Lookup screen, where you can search for the PI by first name, last name, or username.
In the search results, click the Return Value link for the correct PI to populate the Principal Investigator field on the Institutional Proposal lookup page.
Click Search at the bottom of the page. All submitted proposals where the selected individual is listed at the PI will appear in the results below (for proposals you have permission to see).
Click the Open link for any proposal document to be able to view its contents.
