Check the Status of Submitted Documents
Proposals and protocols submitted in WVU+kc must receive appropriate approvals. Use the information below to track the routing and approval status of documents in WVU+kc. To see previous user tips, visit theĀ WVU+kc Monthly TipsĀ archive.Ā
Proposals:Ā
Once a proposal is submitted in WVU+kc, it will enter routing to receive the appropriate approvals before it will reach the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP). To check the status of your document, open it and navigate to theĀ Route LogĀ located on theĀ Proposal ActionsĀ page. TheĀ Node(s)Ā field will display the current approval level. TheĀ Actions TakenĀ section will display all actions and approvals that have already been completed. TheĀ Pending Actions RequestĀ section will indicate who currently needs to act on the document.
Nodes:Ā
Initiated: Proposal is in progress and has not been submitted. The document is editable.
principalInvestigatorApproval:Ā First level of approval. The document is no longer editable except for adding viewers to the Permissions page.
proposalCoiAdministratorNotification: If the proposal is federally funded, it must be approved by a Conflict of Interest (COI) Administrator. The COI Administrator will ensure everyone listed on the Key Personnel page has a Foreign Partnerships in Research Disclosure on file before approving.
proposalSaiAdministratorNotification: If the project involves offsite or off-campus research activities and is being submitted to the NSF, the proposalās attached safe and inclusive (SAI) plan must be approved by an SAI Administrator.
UnitAdministrator: Department level approval. This node will be skipped if there isnāt a Unit Admin listed on the lead unit.
OSPOfficeRouting: Proposal has reached the OSP for review.
holdForReturnedProposal: Proposal was returned for revisions. The document is editable and requires re-submission by the PI or other aggregator.
