Wireless Support (Public)

The WVU.Encrypted network should be used by WVU faculty, staff, and students. Guests can connect to the WVU.Guest network or the Eduroam network if they are visiting from a participating institution.

  • WVU.Encrypted: This is a secure, encrypted wireless network recommended for use by all members of the WVU community with an active Login and Password. Browse the Wireless Connection 101 articles of our Knowledge Base for instructions on configuring a variety of devices.

  • WVU.Guest: This network is available to campus visitors without a WVU Login account. To connect to WVU.Guest, follow the steps in the Wireless Access for Guests article. Sponsored guests should contact their sponsor if they need to change their account information. If you are self-registered and need wireless access, call the ITS Service Desk at 304-293-4444.

  • Eduroam: This network is available at WVU in all university buildings except residence halls. See information about Eduroam for a list of participating institutions and steps to connect.

For assistance with a network connection in a residence hall, please submit a ticket through the Residence Hall Internet Support service.

If you cannot find a solution to your problem, submit a ticket.
