Internet for Morgantown Campus Residence Halls (Public)

Boldyn (formerly Apogee) provides internet for most WVU residence halls on the Morgantown campus. Apogee is a private vendor that specializes in technology support to colleges and universities; they offer a modern student experience and 24/7 customer support by phone, live chat and email.

How to connect your devices

Students

Each student will have their own Personal Area Network (PAN) that can accommodate up to 10 devices simultaneously, including laptops, gaming devices, smartphones, tablets, and various smart home products. You will have a unique password to use on all your devices. Use their Support Portal to activate your account and manage your internet connection.

To activate your account, go to the Support Portal and click Sign in. Enter your WVU Login credentials then click Complete Profile. Your Wi-Fi password and other connection information will be displayed. Connect your devices to MyResNet-5G and enter the password provided.  

After your account is activated, you can log into the Support Portal anytime to view your Wi-Fi password or add a device.

Register and connect a wired device

View the Internet Availability for WVU Residence Halls and Apartments to see which residence halls support wired connections. Rooms that offer wired connections will have a network jack or a wireless access point with three ports marked in yellow. Connect your wired device and add the device in the Support Portal.

Guests

Guest access within residence hall rooms is provided through Apogee as well. Guests and visitors can visit the Support Portal on their device, click Guests and Visitors, and follow the instructions to connect.
