Display Name Change Not Reflected In Teams
If you have had a name change and your new name is not reflected in the Microsoft Teams desktop app after 48 hours, verify whether your new name is displayed in the Teams web app. If your name change is displayed in the web app, trying clearing your Teams client cache data.
Log into Microsoft 365 web app.
Launch the Microsoft Teams web app.
Verify that your display name has been changed.
If your display name is updated in the Teams app, continue to the next section of "Clearing Teams Cache Data" for the current operating system.
If your display name did not change in the app, contact the ITS Service Desk for further support.
Follow Microsoft’s instructions to clear your Teams cache.
