Manage Teams Notifications

Microsoft Teams will automatically send you desktop notifications and activity feed alerts for @mentions, chat messages, and new conversations by default. You can customize your Teams notification settings for your desktop and mobile app.

Below are steps to access your Teams notifications settings. View Microsoft's Manage Notifications in Teams page to view all customization options.

Manage desktop notifications:

  1. Click the Settings and more ellipsis (...) in the top right corner of the Teams window.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Select Notifications. Adjust the settings to customize how you are notified, which channels you want to receive notifications for, and more:

Manage mobile app notifications:

If you use the Teams app on your phone, you can choose to always receive notifications on your phone or just when you're inactive on your desktop. You can also customize quiet hours and days to mute and hold all your mobile notifications.

  1. Tap your name in the top left corner of the Teams app.

  2. Select Settings

  3. Select Notifications. Adjust the settings to customize what you receive notifications for, block notifications during particular times, or change your phone's sound and vibration settings for notifications.
