How to Export Your WVU Mail Contacts to Your Retiree Account (Public)
You can use Outlook Web App (OWA) to export your Microsoft 365 Contacts to an external file, which you can then import into your Retiree account.
Steps to export from your Microsoft 365 Account:
Log into your Microsoft 365 mail account in OWA.
Click the People icon (bottom left next to Calendar) to get to your Contacts screen.
Click Manage on the Microsoft 365 toolbar (top right under the avatar icon) and select Export contacts.
In the Export contacts panel, select which contacts you want to export. You have the choice of selecting All contacts or selecting a Contacts folder.
Click the Export button to download your contacts.
When prompted, save the contacts.csv file onto your computer.
Open the exported file to confirm there is contact information in it.
Steps to import your Contacts:
Log into your Retiree account in OWA.
Click the People icon (bottom left next to Calendar) to access your Contacts screen.
Click Manage on the Microsoft 365 toolbar (top right under the avatar icon) and select Import contacts.
In the Import contacts panel, click on the Browse button and use the file explorer to navigate to the location in which you stored the exported contacts file.
Select the contacts.csv file you exported in the steps above and click the Open button.
Finally, click the Upload button to import contacts.
After a few moments, you should see the Import successful message with the count of how many contacts were imported.
Click the Cancel button to exit the Import contacts panel.
Expand the Your contacts folder (on the left) to see your imported contacts.
If you want to edit or delete a contact, place a check in front of the individual contact entry and choose the appropriate command from the Microsoft 365 toolbar.
