Enable Mixed Content to Resolve eCampus Issues

There are some features in eCampus which will not function or display properly without enabling mixed content in the browser you are using.

Example eCampus errors:

  • The message “Applet should be there” may appear

  • Blank page

  • Buttons not working

How do I enable mixed content?

To enable mixed content, follow the instructions below for your browser.

Firefox

  1. At the top-left corner of the browsing window, on the left side of the URL bar. Click the shield symbol.

  2. A new window will open, click the drop-down box and click Disable Protection on This Page

  3. The page will refresh. Mixed content is now enabled.

Safari

  1. A Security Warning window will appear.

  2. Click Don't Block. Mixed content is now enabled.

Chrome

  1. Provide a brief overview of the application or information covered in the article.

  2. At the top-right corner of the browsing window, on the far right side of the URL bar. Click the shield symbol.

  3. A new window will open. Dependent on the version of Chrome in use, the user will click Load anyway or Load unsafe script. Mixed content is now enabled

These steps must be completed for each webpage where the shield icon or a message appears.
