Adaptive Release and Tools

Adaptive release controls the availability of content to users based on a set of rules created by the instructor. Adaptive release only works on items placed on a content page. If you place a link to a tool such as Journals, Blogs and Wikis on a content page, and then place adaptive release on the link, the tool can still be seen and completed through the Tools area.

Use Availability

  1. Under Course Tools, select Tools > Edit.

  2. Change the start and end dates.

  3. Click Submit.

Hide the Tools

  1. Go into the tools area of the course and select Hide for the tools you wish to hide from the students.

  2. This way, the only path to the tool runs through the link with Adaptive Release criteria.
