Exempt a Student From Using Respondus Lockdown Browser

Exempt a Student From Using Respondus Lockdown Browser

Instructors can exempt a student from using the Respondus Lockdown Browser (RLDB) for a specific test.

  1. Copy the test you want exempted for the student:

    1. Enter the course and select Course Tools.

    2. Select Tests, Surveys and Pools then select Tests.

    3. Hover over the test to be copied, then select the drop-down arrow.

    4. Select Copy. Once the copy process finishes, the test copy will appear below the original and marked with a number in the test title.

  2. Deploy the test to a content page.
Find steps to deploy a test on the eCampus 101 for Faculty page.

  3. Ensure the test doesn't require Respondus Lockdown Browser (RLDB).

    1. Navigate to Course Management Control Panel >Course Tools.

    2. Click Respondus LockDown Browser.

    3. Find the copied test with the number in parenthesis.

    4. Check the LockDown Browser column to ensure it’s not required for the copied test.

  4. On the content page where the test is deployed, set the adaptive release options to allow only that student to see and access the copied test.
