Online Winter Session

WVU offers an online winter intercession. Winter intercession registration requires a lift from the Departmental Approval restriction by WVU Online.

How to register for intersession courses

1. Login to the WVU Portal. 

2. Click STAR.

   • If prompted, enter your Login credentials to continue.

3. Click Student Services & Housing tab. 

4. Click Registration. 

   • If you know the CRNs of the classes you need, follow steps 1-4 below. You may find CRNs of available intercession courses at winter.wvu.edu. Otherwise, skip to step 5.

   1. Click Add or Drop Classes.

   2. Select the Fall (Year) for the term, then click Submit.

   3. Type the CRNs, under the area Add Classes Worksheet.

   4. Click Submit Changes.

5. Click Look-up Classes to Add.

6. Select Fall (Year) for the Term.

7. Select WVU Winter Course in the Campus section.

8. Select Web Based for schedule type.

9. Click Class Search to retrieve course options.
