Accommodations, Exemptions, and Exceptions

When you create an item such as an assignment, test, or discussion, you can set due dates or time limits. For some students, you may want to waive those requirements.

  • Students may be authorized to receive an accommodation from WVU Disability Services.

  • You can choose to exempt a student for an item. That item will not be part of the overall grade calculation.

  • You can choose to grant a student an exception for the due date, time limit, or number of attempts.

For details on WVU policies regarding accommodations, view the WVU Disability Services https://accessibilityservices.wvu.edu/accommodations/definition .
