Third-Party Instructional Tool Requests

Faculty may request third-party instructional tools that can be integrated into their eCampus course and provide expanded functionality for their eCampus sections. Numerous third-party tools have already been tested and approved for use at WVU by the ITS Teaching and Learning Application unit and are available in eCampus. (See the full list of currently available tools.) If you wish to request a tool not on the list, please be advised each tool requires thorough testing to ensure functionality, security, and stability standards are met. This process requires at least three months, thus requests must be submitted no later than three months prior to the first day of the expected deployment semester.

An IT Purchasing Request is required to be submitted and approved before initiating an instructional tool request. This includes instructional tools that are free. For more information, please review the IT Purchase Request form.

How to submit a request

  1. Log into the eCampus Request System (eRS) at ers.wvu.edu.

  2. Select Create Request.

  3. Select New Instructional Tool.

  4. Confirm that an IT Purchase Request has been submitted.
