Install Adobe Captivate

To install this software, you need to purchase a license through SLIC. Visit the Adobe (Other Software)SLIC page for more information.

Install Adobe Captivate on a Windows 10 computer

1. Go to adobe-slic.wvu.edu and enter your WVU Login credentials.

2. Click Captivate 2019 for Windows (x64) (.zip) to start the download

3. Open the downloads folder and select Extract all. You may be prompted to select a destination for the download. Click Extract.

4. Make sure to save and close any Microsoft Office apps before installing.

5. When the files have been extracted, open the Captivate 2019 for Windows (x64) folder and double click Captivate_2019_x64_LS21.

6. Click Next.

7. Click Sign in.

8. Enter your WVU email address and press the Tab key on your keyboard. This will redirect you to a WVU Login screen. If you are redirected to a screen that asks for Adobe ID or Enterprise ID, select Enterprise ID.
   Note: If you enter your information incorrectly, you may receive an error message. Try exiting the window and opening Adobe Creative Cloud again to log in.

9. Enter your WVU Login Username and Password, click Login and complete two-factor authentication.

10. Click Continue to install the software

11. Once the installation is complete, open the software and you will be prompted to sign in again

Install Adobe Captivate on a Mac computer

1. Go to adobe-slic.wvu.edu and enter your WVU Login credentials. 

2. Click Captivate 2019 for Mac (.dmg) to start the download.

3. Click the down arrow at the top right corner of the browser to show the downloaded file.

4. Double click the file.

5. Double click Captivate_2019_Ls21.dmg.

6. Double click the Adobe Captivate 2019 folder.

7. Double click install then click open.

8. Enter your WVU email address and click continue. This will redirect you to a WVU Login screen. If you are redirected to a screen that asks for Adobe ID or Enterprise ID, select Enterprise ID.
   Note: If you enter your information incorrectly, you may receive an error message. Try exiting the window and opening Adobe Creative Cloud again to log in.

9. Enter your WVU Login Username and Password, click Login and complete two-factor authentication.

10. Click continue to install the software

11. Once captivate is installed, open and sign into the application.
