How do I view my unofficial web transcript?

Current and former students can view their unofficial transcript in STAR.

  1. Log into the WVU Portal and click STAR at the top of the page.

    Note: If you are a former student, access STAR directly at star.wvu.edu. You may need to reset your Login account before you can access STAR. View our STAR Information for Former Students article to learn more.

  2. Click Student Services and Housing.

  3. Click Student Records.

  4. Select Academic Transcript to view your unofficial web transcript. Please note this unofficial transcript link is not active while grades are being processed. Once grades are available, the link will become visible again.

If you have trouble accessing your transcript, contact the Office of the Registrar.

How do I order an official transcript as a current student?

Current students can order their official transcript in STAR.

  1. Log into the WVU Portal and click on STAR at the top of the page.

  2. Click Student Services and Housing.

  3. Click Student Records.

  4. Select Order Official Transcript - WVU Main Campus ONLY. You will be redirected to a new screen.

  5. Review the ordering information and click Start My Order at the top of the page to fill out an order form.

How do I order an official transcript as a former student?

You can access the online order form through Parchment.
Note: Students who graduated before 1998 and students without a WVU Login can only order the paper hard-copy of their transcripts.

Can I order an official transcript over the phone?

No. You must order your official transcript online.

When I order a transcript, can I only have my graduate coursework listed?

No. When an official transcript order is placed, the order will contain all coursework completed at WVU.
