How to Log in with Federated Access (Cirrus)

WVU uses Cirrus, a federated access tool, to allow WVU affiliates, employees and students to access WVU systems. When you see the federated access login screen, you'll be prompted to select your affiliation, then log in as normal.

  • Employees/Students: This option takes you to the normal CAS login screen. Enter your WVU Login credentials and authenticate with Duo. If you're already logged in for the day, you'll bypass the Duo screen.

  • WVU Medicine: This option takes you to the WVU Medicine ADFS login screen. Enter your WVU Medicine credentials and authenticate with two-factor.

  • WV P20 Students: This option is for WV P20 Students and requires a Boone County Schools email address and password to log into the WVU Libraries Databases Portal.

  • Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Microsoft: Members of the Alumni Association and retirees can select a social media option to log into WVU Libraries EBSCO Alumni databases with a personal account. For more information, review the support article.

Shared users should select the WVU Medicine button and log in with their WVU Medicine credentials. A shared user is a WVU Medicine employee who has access to certain WVU systems.
