Dell SupportAssist for Business

Dell SupportAssist for Business is a utility application that monitors the health and status of organizationally owned Dell devices. System administrators can also use it to complete scans or driver updates remotely or locally.

If you have SupportAssist installed, you may see weekly or monthly notifications about outdated drivers or performance issues. WVU Information Technology Services recommends you run the suggested updates to keep your computer secure and optimized; however, these updates are optional and you may silence or clear these notifications.

Scans and driver updates may also be done remotely by system administrators. In the rare event that an administrator pushes a driver update, you may be prompted to reboot your computer. Unless otherwise instructed, you may pick a time to reboot at your convenience.

You can also open the SupportAssist application anytime to manually run driver updates, scans, and other computer optimizations.
