Lansweeper

Lansweeper is an asset inventory system used to scan and report on WVU client assets. Submit a WVU IT request to request a client asset report. Please describe the specific information you want to collect in your request.

Client assets include Windows and macOS clients, printers, security cameras, door locks, network devices and more. All WVU owned devices have LSAgent software installed on them, which does a local scan of the device and sends the data to the Lansweeper server. Network scans are also performed on a schedule.

Lansweeper scans hardware and software configurations on machines, as well as network and operating system information, warranty status and user information. This scanned information is stored in a database and used to accurately report on devices on the WVU network.

WVU Academic IT groups may request reports on client devices belonging to their school or department.
