A course template can be uploaded into a blank eCampus course shell to create an outline for instructional content. Instructors can add their own syllabus, materials, assessments, and other details after the template is placed in the course’s content area. The imported .zip file will be stored in your course’s Content Collection.

Import a Template to eCampus Ultra

1. Login to eCampus.

2. Navigate to the Courses page and click on the new or empty destination course shell to open it.

3. On the Course Content page, click the ellipsis (…) in the Course Content area to open the content options menu.

4. Click Import Content. The Import Content panel will open.

5. Click Import Course Content to import a course package from your computer.

6. In the file selection window, navigate to your Downloads folder or wherever you have saved the zipped course template package.

7. Select the ExportFile_DEV.WVUOnline-weeks-template zipped course template file.

8. Click Open (or double-click the file) to begin uploading the file’s contents into your course. You will see a message indicating that the content is being imported. It could take a few minutes; you may wish to exit and reopen the course.

9. New content items will fill the course, including:

   1. a Start Here module for course welcome, syllabus, etiquette, navigation, policies, etc.

   2. And, weekly content modules containing:

      1. blank templates for overview & objectives,

      2. learning checklists,

      3. instructional content items,

      4. placeholders for assignments, assessments, and discussions,

      5. and next steps for students at the end of each module.
