Mountaineer ENEWS is an email publication distributed by University Relations primarily to faculty, staff and administrators.
Submission information
The ENEWS website provides a list of criteria for articles and an article submission form. Please allow 48 hours for review before your article is published. If your submission is time sensitive, please contact John.Bolt@mail.wvu.edu. If you would like to receive Mountaineer ENEWS or have questions, email University Relations at ur@mail.wvu.edu or call 304-293-7340.
ENEWS guidelines:
For an item to be considered for ENEWS, it must involve an official WVU unit, or have some other direct connection to the University and its related organizations or initiatives. While in some instances, ENEWS will feature an event that is hosted at a WVU facility, just being held at WVU is not sufficient reason to be included. The final decision to include or not include an announcement in ENEWS is at the discretion of the editors.
Send items directly to ENEWS@mail.wvu.edu. ENEWS is handled by different individuals, so sending your items directly to this address will ensure it is seen by the editor.
Items for ENEWS are intended for University faculty, staff and administrators. Announcements for students should be directed to MIX@mail.wvu.edu. These submissions will be published on the WVU Students website at students.wvu.edu.
Brief, concise notices are best. We can link to a longer version of the story, when necessary. Please include a descriptive headline; date; time; place; brief description of event/award, etc.; contact; RSVP date, if applicable; and any specific date(s) when the ENEWS notice should run. ENEWS tries to accommodate requests to run announcements multiple times, but rarely more than twice.

Job openings are not included in ENEWS. Please direct this information to the Division of Human Resources at employment@mail.wvu.edu.
ENEWS does not accept solicitations or fundraising requests, except as in accord with the University’s Concessions and Solicitation Policy, which is available here.
Mountaineer ENEWS will be distributed once daily, during mid-morning.
If events require, such as in a campus emergency, announcements will be sent immediately.
The deadline for submission is at least 48 hours in advance of publication.
