Log Into LISTSERV for the First Time

When we receive your LISTSERV Request Form, and all the necessary information is included, we will create your list. An email notification will be sent to you. When you receive it, log into LISTSERV and follow the instructions below to setup your LISTSERV list owner account.

How do I login to my list on LISTSERV for the first time?

1. Log into LISTSERV.

   • If you have an @mail.wvu.edu account, go to listserv.wvu.edu. 

   • If you have an @hsc.wvu.edu account, go to lists.hsc.wvu.edu.

2. Click Log In in the upper right corner of the page.

3. Since this is your first time logging into LISTSERV, click on get a new LISTSERV password.

4. Enter the address for your WVU email account. LISTSERV uses your email address as it appears on your outgoing email messages to external email systems instead of a username.

5. Enter a secure password of at least 8 characters. You will not be able to see what you're typing.

6. Enter the same password in the second box.

7. Click on Register Password.

8. After you click Register Password, you will receive a Confirmation Sent message that instructs you to activate your password.

9. Check your email. When you receive an email asking you to confirm your password, click on the enclosed link to verify your email and password. You must click on the confirmation link within 48 hours of starting this process.

10. When you click on the link from your confirmation email, you will receive a confirmation message in your web browser.

You can now return to the login screen and log in to your LISTSERV account.

   • If you have an @hsc.wvu.edu account, go to lists.hsc.wvu.edu.

2. Click on the Log In link in the upper right corner of the page.

3. Type in your email address and the password that you recently created.

4. Click on the Log In button.
