Using the SOLE News System

The News System, which is available in SOLE, is the central location where articles and stories should be posted. This system allows the information added to it, to be posted dynamically on websites throughout the Health Sciences Center. University Relations also uses this content to update information on their news websites as well.

Below are some things you can do within the News System:

• Share articles to other schools, centers, or institutes

• Add tags to highlight various topics in the article

• Utilize photography to highlight stories and make them feel more engaging

• Set schedules for articles or stories that may need to only be available for a period of time

• Schedule an article or story to be published on an upcoming date

• Create events

  • This feature should only be used if you are a group that does not have access to the WVU Calendar

  • Any department or division within a school should be using WVU Calendar

If you would like to have access to the News System you can email cmsdesk@hsc.wvu.edu and request access for the school or department you plan to add news to. Upon gaining access we would suggest you also schedule training on how to use the News System.
