What is Zoom Phone?

Zoom Phone is a full-service, cloud-based calling solution that supports a large workforce with many hybrid and remote staff. The desktop and mobile applications eliminate the need for expensive onsite hardware.

Between January 2025 and July 1, 2026, all WVU employees will transition to Zoom Phone.

Preparing to Migrate to Zoom Phone

Recycling Cisco Phones

You must be logged into your WVU Zoom account at wvu.zoom.us or using Zoom Workplace to be able to access Zoom Phone. If your account is not setup properly when Zoom phone is added, you will receive an email invitation to join the WVU Zoom. You will need to complete this process before your phone will work in Zoom. Contact the Service Desk if you have questions or concerns.
