If you would like to transfer one or more surveys from your WVU Qualtrics account along with any collected results to another WVU account, submit an ITS request.

Specify which survey name(s) you'd like to transfer or indicate you want all surveys transferred. Include the full name of the person you want to transfer the surveys to. That person will need to have a Qualtrics account before the surveys can be transferred. If any survey sharing was in place, it is retained after the survey ownership is transferred.

If you are not the survey owner and need surveys transferred from another person's account, the survey owner will need to submit the request; if that account holder is no longer at WVU, the department chair or director needs to make or confirm the request by submitting an ITS request or service request ticket update email.

If you are new to WVU and would like to transfer your Qualtrics account to the WVU brand, submit an ITS request. Provide the URL of your previous Qualtrics site, its institution's name, and your username or email address that you used on this external Qualtrics site. The Qualtrics Brand Administrator at the other institution will be contacted by the Qualtrics vendor to approve the account transfer request.

  1. Go to wvu.ca1.qualtrics.com.

  2. Log in with your WVU Login username and its password (do NOT enter an email address).

  3. Select "I already have a Qualtrics account."

  4. Enter your old account's username (it will probably be an email address).

  5. Complete the remaining steps to migrate the account and confirm any actions as prompted.

  6. If you already have logged into Qualtrics at WVU before and are not prompted to select that you have an account, submit an ITS request to have the local Qualtrics administrator merge your accounts for you.
