Web ADI interfaces between an Excel spreadsheet and Oracle Batch Element Entry (BEE). To use Web ADI, make sure your computer is set up correctly following the instructions in this article.  

First, check your browser and Java version

  1. Make sure your browser is configured correctly. View our How to Access MAP article to see if you have the correct browser security settings.

  2. Make sure you're using the latest version of Java. To check which version of Java you have or install the updated version of Java, visit the Recommended Java Version article.

Note: If you are working remotely on a personal computer, install Java version 8 on the Java installation website. If you are having trouble accessing MAP forms and responsibilities, read Unable to Access MAP Forms and Responsibilities for troubleshooting instructions.

Configure Microsoft Excel for Web ADI

  1. Under the File tab, click Options

  2. In the new dialogue box, go to the Trust Center

  3. In the Trust Center dialogue box, click the Trust Center Settings

  4. In the left menu, choose Macro Settings

  5. Select the radio button for Enable all macros (not recommended; potentially dangerous code can be run 

  6. Check the box for Trust access to the VBA project code object model

  7. Click Ok

Note: Once you have completed using Web ADI, follow the same actions listed above to return the Macro Setting to Disable all macros with notification.  

Save Templates 

If you like to save the templates generated on your computer, register the file path:

  1. Navigate to the Trust Center Settings in Excel. 

  2. Select Trusted Locations

  3. Click Add new location...  

  4. Enter the file path (example: C:\Users\jtwitter\Documents\ADIFiles) and click OK.

  5. Select Add-ins from the Excel Options menu on the left-hand side of the screen. Make sure all checkboxes are unchecked.

  6. Select ActiveX Settings from the Excel Options menu. Make sure Prompt me before enabling all controls with minimal restrictions is selected.

  7. Select Macro Settings from the Excel Options menu. Select Enable all macros. 

  8. Select Protected View from the Excel Options menu. Ensure all checkboxes are unchecked. 

  9. Select File Block Settings from the Excel Options menu. Check both Open and Save boxes next to Excel 2007 and later Binary Workbooks.
