Current WVU students, current employees and emeritus employees can download Microsoft Office Pro Plus on their personal devices. Under the terms of this license, you can install Office on up to 5 PCs or Macs, 5 tablets and 5 smartphones. The following instructions show you how you can check on your install status and how to deactivate your license from a device.

Directions

  1. Open a web browser and go to your Office 365 account.

  2. Provide your Login username and password and then click LOGIN.

  3. Once authenticated, you should be redirected to the Office 365 My Account page where you can:

  • Verify what products and licenses you have

  • Manage your security and privacy

  • Change app permissions

  • Manage installs

  • Edit settings

  1. Click on the link for Manage installs.

  2. On the Install status page, you will be able to manage your PC and Mac installs. Detected installs will display the computer name and operating system for each installation. By clicking the down-arrow to the right of the install, you can also display the installation date.

    Click on the Deactivate link to remove an installation and free it up for another device.
