Students can view account information and make payments online using their WVU MyAccount. They can also authorize a parent/guest to make payments, including academic deposits) by making them an Authorized User, view and print on-demand statements, and pay specific University apartment-related charges.
Information about WVU MyAccount
Information and instructions about WVU MyAccount can be found on the Student Accounts Tutorials page. This includes information on how to add a parent/guest as an authorized user to pay a bill, adding/removing a payment method, viewing account activity, as well as general information on how to use the WVU MyAccount.
How to access WVU MyAccount
Students can access their WVU MyAccount by logging into Portal and clicking the PAY YOUR BILL HERE! button. They can also find a link in the Resources page on their Portal view. Access to WVU MyAccount must go through Portal to ensure Duo two-factor authentication.
Authorized Users who have been granted access by a student can access the WVU MyAccount through the link in the confirmation email that they receive after the student authorizes them.
Former students can access their WVU MyAccount through STAR. After accessing STAR, select the Student Services & Housing tab, click Student Accounts, then click Access WVU My Account.
Parent/guest access
Parents/guests require both proxy and authorized user access. Proxy access is required so they can contact Student Accounts to ask questions using the proxy passphrase (view our Parent/Guest Portal articles for more information).
Students must give parents/guests authorized user access within their WVU MyAccount. Follow the steps on the Student Accounts Tutorials page. You will set up credentials that you can use to sign into the WVU MyAccount website for authorized users.
Please note authorized user accounts will lock for one hour after five failed login attempts. After an hour, you can reset your password to log into your account. To reset your password, go to the WVU MyAccount website for authorized users, enter the email address you used when authorizing your access, and click Forgot Password. You’ll receive an email with a temporary password.
Monthly payment plans are processed through CASHNet and do not require authorized user access.
Information about billing
WVU only sends billing emails, not billing statements. Students can view or pay their bill using their WVU MyAccount, and can view their charges in real time. They can also view and print an on-demand statement.
