If you receive a Microsoft Office error saying your account doesn’t allow editing on a Mac computer, remove all Office licenses then reinstall WVU’s license.
Follow the steps in Microsoft’s How to Remove Office License Files on a Mac.
After removing the license files, you will be prompted to sign into your Microsoft Office account the next time you open an Office app. Enter your WVU Login username followed by @mail.wvu.edu when asked for an email address and use your WVU Login password for the password.
Although WVU student email addresses end in @mix.wvu.edu, students should use @mail.wvu.edu for signing into Office. This is a special username for activating your license and not an email address that can be used elsewhere.
