📹 Notify Sponsored Programs of the Proposal Status Video (opens in a new tab)

After the sponsor has reviewed the proposal and made a determination, the sponsor will communicate that determination either to the Pi or sponsor programs. Below are the steps the Pi will take when the sponsor communicates a determination. The PI will receive the determination from the sponsor, and they must relate this information to sponsor programs so they can determine how to respond.

  1. Log in as the PI

A funding proposal in the pending sponsor review state will not appear in your inbox, so you must find it on the Grants page.

 2. Click Grants in the Top Navigator, and then find and open the funding proposal you created.

Try using the filter to find your funding proposal on the Proposal tab or the Sponsor Review tab. Even if your proposal appears near the top of the list in the Training environment, this is good practice for when you work in your own environment and need to find a proposal that is not in view.

  1. Filter by state to find proposals in pending sponsor review.

  1. From the funding proposal workspace, click Send Grants Status Update.

  1. In the window, select Award Anticipated for the grant status.

  1. Type any comments you wish and click OK.

  2. Confirm you met the following success criteria: 

  • The funding proposal has moved to the Proposal Status Confirmation state and sends an e-mail notification to the assigned specialist. Based on the grant status, the specialists will decide how to proceed.
