Clientless (SSL) VPN is open to all WVU employees, WVU Parkersburg employees, and select Shared Users.SSL VPN is a browser-based VPN, which allows employees to log into Applaud from their smart phone or other mobile devices to complete administrative tasks. Users , view pay statements, or complete other administrative tasks from a browser. SSL VPN is open to all WVU employees and student workers. Users do not need to install anything . Just open a web browser on any device, go to and can access SSL VPN on their smartphones or mobile devices.

    Note: Remote.wvu.edu works on iPhones with the Safari browser, but not Chrome. On Android phones, the Chrome and Firefox browsers will work. Please note, however, that there are more mobile phone models and web browser combinations than Information Technology Services can test, and some combinations may not work. If you have problems, try a different browser. If none of the browsers work, you may need to use a laptop or desktop computer for access.
