MIX Gmail users can connect their account to Outlook. This requires configuration in Gmail and in Outlook and will ONLY support email functionality.
Although Outlook is officially supported with Office 365 for use with @mail.wvu.edu accounts, its use with MIX Gmail accounts is on a "best effort" basis. In cases where this is being configured on personally-owned equipment, there may be support limitations.
University policy prohibits the automatic forwarding of University email to non-University email accounts.
Gmail/MIX instructions:
Google may block sign-in attempts from apps or devices that do not use modern security standards. Since these apps and devices are easier to break into, blocking them helps keep your account safe.

Go to Settings in your MIX Gmail account (click the gear icon and select Settings).
Select the Forwarding and Pop/IMAP tab.
In the IMAP Access section, select to Enable IMAP (it is off by default).
Select the Accounts tab and click Google Account settings.
Under Sign-in & security, click Signing in to Google.
Under Password & sign-in method, enable 2-step verification, click Get Started, and follow the prompts.
After setting up the 2-step verification, return to the Sign-in & security page and select App passwords. Select the app and device for which you want to generate a 16-character password.
