Microsoft 365 is an office suite of desktop applications, servers and services for the Microsoft Windows and Mac operating systems. It includes Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote.
Software Licensing (SLIC) currently provides MS Office 2021 for Windows and Mac, Microsoft 365 ProPlus, and Microsoft 365 Mobile.
Licensing restrictions:
To install this software, you must be a current employee or student of WVU. You can install this on up to 5 devices.
Eligibility:
Faculty can install the software for free for a WVU computer or personal computer/device.
Emeritusemployees can install the software for free for a WVU computer or personal computer/device.
Staff can install the software for free on a WVU computer or personal computer/device.
Students can download and install the software for free for a personal computer/device.
How to order:
WVU Computer: Faculty and staff who would like to install Microsoft 365 will need to contact their local IT unit for instructions.
Personal Computer/device: Faculty, staff and students using Microsoft 365 at home can get free licenses for Microsoft 365 ProPlus or Microsoft 365 Mobile on up to 5 devices. View the Download Microsoft 365 for Free article to find installation instructions for your computer or device.
macOS: Microsoft 365 for Mac is supported on the three most recent versions of macOS. As versions of macOS are made available, Microsoft will drop support for the oldest version and support the newest and previous two versions of macOS. Product functionality and feature availability may vary on older systems. For the best experience, use the latest version of any operating system specified above.
