WVU Tax Services issues W-2 forms to all WVU employees including Potomac State College, WVU Tech and WVU Parkersburg. View the FAQ below for more W-2 information. If you have a question about your W-2, or have other tax-related question, please email tax@mail.wvu.edu.

How can I update my home address?

Address changes must be made by January 11th, 2019 to ensure W-2s are sent to the correct address. Current employees can update their address in Applaud. Use the Personal Information link under the MyHR tab at portal.wvu.edu. You must be connected to the Remote VPN to access this link. On your Personal Information page, click your Home Address then select Edit. 

If you are no longer an employee and need to update your address, contact Shared Services. 

When and how can I request a reprint?

Email tax@mail.wvu.edu to request a reprint.

How can I access my W-2 online?

You can access your W-2 by logging into the WVU Portal and clicking the W2 Information link in the MyHR tab under Restricted Apps.

  • You will be prompted to sign in again. Enter your WVU Login username and password to login, not your email address.

  • You can print your W-2 at work. Please use secure print when printing your W-2.

  • Do not download and save copies of your W-2 form to your work computer.

  • Do not email your W-2 to yourself or anyone else. Tax documents contain personally identifiable and sensitive information. Transmitting this information via email violates WVU's Acceptable Use of Data Technology and Resources policy.

  • If you are trying to access your W-2 off-campus (ex: from home), then you need to access it through Remote VPN.

How can I request an older W-2 that isn't available online? 

Email tax@mail.wvu.edu with your name, phone number, month and year of birth, and either your WVU ID or your Employee ID for verification purposes. 

Where can I find tax withholding forms?

Go to Payroll Tax Withholding Forms on the WVU Tax Services website at taxservices.wvu.edu.
