Respond to a Clarification Request

The Principal Investigator can access the agreement workspace right from the link in the clarification request email; however, if the Principal Investigator no longer has the email, the Principal Investigator can log into the Agreements system and find the agreement in My Inbox.

  1. Log in as the Principal Investigator and respond to a clarification request.

  2. From My Inbox on the Dashboard, open the agreement you created.

  3. On the agreement workspace, click the History tab to see the reviewer’s clarification requested comments.

  4. Click Edit Agreement on the left.

  5. Navigate to the agreement Additional Information page and add or change text in the text box.

  6. Click Save and then Exit on the navigation bar.

  7. On the agreement workspace, click the Submit Changes activity on the left.

  8. In the Submit Changes window, type “I made the requested changes” and click OK.

  9. Confirm you met the success criteria below:

  • The agreement is back in the Internal Review state.

  • The workflow map shows the agreement is back in the In Review phase of the review process.

  • A new snapshot appears on the Snapshots tab to record the changes you made to the agreement SmartForm pages during the Clarification Requested state.
