Making a Product Available Through a Link

You may want to make a product available only through a link from an email, and not from the store’s web pages.  For example, if you are selling a product to an entity that is tax-exempt, you would not want others to see the product on the web page and purchase it without paying taxes on it.

Instructions:

  1. By default, a product will be assigned to your store’s Home Page. To change this, click the Product name in the list of products.

  2. All settings will be listed here.  Scroll down to the section on Categories.

  3. The store Home Page will be displayed on the left side of the table. Click this to move it to the right side, which means it will no longer appear on the store's home page.

  4. On the right side of Assignments, (options available), click the No category - only orderable via direct link option. This moves it to the left side, the selected option region.

  5. Click Save. Click Back to Product Settings.

  6. The Category Settings now display the assignment.

  7. Locate the URL in the Product Settings, QR Code Management, Embedded URL field. You can copy this URL and paste it where needed.
