Adding a Modifier to a Product

Modifiers enable you to capture customer preferences about a product.

Instructions

1. Create a product. Click its name in the list of products.

2. Click Add Modifier.

3. Three types of modifiers are available.

   1. A drop-down selection prompts the customer to choose one item in a list.

      1. Name the modifier.

      2. Choose whether the modifier is optional or required.

      3. Choose if the modifier will be displayed just once (static)  or for the total number of items in the order (dynamic).

      4. Enter the choices in the Selection fields.

      5. Optionally, enter a price adjustment.  (A decrease in price will be indicated by the minus sign and then amount of the adjustment.)

      6. Click Add Modifier.

   2. Text Entry prompts the customer to enter text.

      1. Name the modifier.

      2. Choose whether the modifier is optional or required.

      3. Choose the type of text that will be allowed in the field. The default is free text.

      4. Optionally, change the minimum and maximum number of characters.

      5. Choose whether to hide modifier responses in confirmation emails.

      6. Choose if the modifier will be displayed just once (static) or for the total number of items in the order (dynamic).

      7. Click Add Modifier.

   3. Multiple Selection 

      1. Name the modifier.

      2. Choose whether the modifier is optional or required.

      3. Choose if the modifier will be displayed just once (static)  or for the total number of items in the order (dynamic).

      4. Enter the choices in the Selection fields.

      5. Click Add Modifier
