Transfer Okta Verify Account to a New Phone or Tablet
Follow these steps to transfer your Okta Verify account from an old phone or tablet to a new phone or tablet.
Download the Okta Verify app from the App Store or Google Play on the new device.
On the Welcome to Okta Verify screen, select Add account from another device.
On your old device, open the Okta Verify app and tap your WVU Okta account (this may be labeled as okta.wvu.edu).
Scroll to the Manage account section and select Add account to another device. If prompted, verify with your enrolled biometrics. A QR code will appear on the screen.
On the new device, select Scan QR code. Enable camera permissions if prompted.
Use the new device to scan the QR code displayed on the old device. Depending on your device, a six-digit code will display or you may need to tap the eye icon to reveal the code. Codes are regenerated every thirty seconds. Enter the code on the old device and click Verify.
Follow the steps on your new device to complete Okta Verify enrollment.
