Add a New Device to Your Existing Duo Account
If you have previously set up Duo two-factor authentication on a device, follow the steps below to set up Duo on a new phone or tablet. If you got rid of your old device, you must use backup codes or a Duo token to authenticate before adding your new device to your account.

Set up a new phone or tablet
Using a computer, go to a WVU system that requires you to log in using your WVU username and password (e.g. portal.wvu.edu).
When you see the Duo authentication prompt screen, click Other options.
Click Manage devices.
Authenticate using your old device, a backup code or a Duo token. If you don’t have access to one of these, you must call the Service Desk at 304-293-4444.
Select Add a device then follow the prompts to set up your phone or tablet.
After you’ve added your new device, you can remove your old device from your account.
